The personalized workspace app Solacepace has just added a brand new feature: the News Widget—a tool to help you stay up to date with the latest news, right from your own private digital base!
The News Widget lets you fetch the latest news using RSS feeds from major media outlets.
RSS feeds are structured data files that allow you to track website updates like newly published articles. Through these feeds, you can automatically receive headlines and summaries of the latest posts.
By entering an RSS feed URL, the News Widget pulls in and displays the most recent articles.
If you’re not familiar with RSS, the idea of finding and using an RSS URL might sound daunting.
That’s why Solacepace includes a set of predefined RSS feed URLs from popular media outlets.
Simply pick the sources you’re interested in, and the latest articles will automatically appear—no need to go digging for URLs.
When you choose multiple news sources, you can select how to display them:
Displays articles from all selected sources in chronological order, similar to a social media timeline.
Displays articles grouped by source, one media outlet at a time in separate sections.
The News Widget is available in both the desktop and smartphone versions of Solacepace.
We plan to continue improving the News Widget with more features and flexibility.
We hope it enhances your personal virtual workspace and keeps you informed while you work!
Make your daily desk work more enjoyable with a fully customizable workspace!
